Occupancy & Cancellation Policies
OUR MUTUAL BUSINESS RELATIONSHIP:
Our business relationship is one-on-one and direct. There is not a second or third party involved and adding to the cost of business. Our pricing and service levels recognize the positive consequences of this relationship.
OUR GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY TO YOU:
This starts from the time we pick you up on arrival and ends when we drop you off at your point of departure.
OUR SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITY TO YOU:
We provide accommodation and breakfast. We have a menu for extras. We offer to arrange a variety of activities and reservations as YOUR reps. The onus for all due-diligence, safety and security is YOURS. You are responsible to research and adhere to all requirements and regulations relating to your Passports, Visas, Health prerequisites, Consular directives, Travel to and from Goa, Holiday, Travel & Medical Insurances, Customs and/or Immigration regulations.
OUR PRICING OF YOUR PACKAGE:
Your package has been priced exclusively for you and may bear no resemblance to arrangements for other guests.
ACCOMMODATION, OCCUPANCY & VACATING TIMES:
According to international practice, you take possession of your accommodation from 3 pm prior to the first night booked and vacate the same by 12 noon of the day following the last night booked. Every reasonable flexibility, at either end, will be extended to our guest/s.
TIPPING:
As with most countries, tipping is normal and up to 12% of your bill is the right amount. Our practice is for all salaried staff to share in the tips-pool. Please turn-in your sealed tips envelope at the time of check-out and this will be processed according to staff practices. Thank you.
SIGHTSEEING & TOURS:
We assist you in arrangements for sightseeing or tours. At your directions, we will book your place/s with regular and dependable operators in these fields. Their conditions and prices will be passed on to you without add-ons. We will transport you to their point of departure and collect you at their point of return.
DRESS AND NO-SMOKING - NO-DRUGS CODE:
Casual is best. No smoking or drugs anywhere ‘inside’ the Garça Branca. You dictate your dress code within your suite and private balcony.
Nudity and topless bathing are NOT permitted in Goa — do not forget your swimsuit and do not forget to wear it! (Entry to religious places will be denied if your attire is considered immodest).
ALL-INCLUSIVE
With the exception of finger foods and the Garça Branca transport, all services are for internal consumption at the Garça Branca only. For instance, liquor and refreshments cannot be a ’take-out‘. (This is a requirement of the class of ‘business permit’ and must be respected).
BEHAVIOUR:
We can end your stay with us if your behaviour or that of any member of your party is likely, in our opinion, to cause distress, damage, danger to, or to annoy our other guests, employees or anyone else and we will not be liable for any refund, compensation or other costs you have to pay.
INSURANCE:
Holiday Insurance for you and members of your party is vitally essential and is your responsibility. Insurance Carriers in Goa will not provide more than basic coverage and that too over a limited spread of categories. Additionally, they insist on being the ‘friend of last recourse’! Holiday Insurance Policies — called Gold Cover in the UK for instance - combined with Excess Free Travel Insurance Policies are available to you from Travel Agents when you purchase your Air Travel tickets. Please invest generously in this regard and make this STRESS go away. If you are eligible, the GB might cover you for a MEDI-Access policy at the Apollo Victor Hospital.
CANCELLATION:
If you want to cancel your booking, after we have accepted it, the person who signed your booking form must send signed instructions to us. In this event, we will require you to pay cancellation charges on the scale shown below. These charges reflect our estimated loss as a result of dealing with your booking to the point of cancellation and any other losses we may have to incur. You may have recourse under your Holiday Insurance Policy if your reasons fall within the conditions of the policy:
If we cancel, you will receive a full refund of monies you have paid us.

DEPOSIT AND INSTALLMENT PAYMENTS:
Payments may be by: Credit Card — Visa, MC, Amex or other, but all through PayPal.
| Deposit: | 30% with firm booking. This will result in acceptance by the Garça Branca/Rep. |
| 1st Inst: | 35%, within a month of Deposit. Date will be specified. |
| Last Inst: | 35% balance within a month of 1st installment; date will be specified. |
Both the Cancellation and Deposit conditions above may be restated at the discretion of Management.
