The Garça Branca - Goa's favourite Bed and Breakfast Inn

What can we say that hasn't already been said. You guys are amazing. What a fantastic way to begin our adventure in India. We leave here relaxed and refreshed after being thoroughly spoilt !!! Your home is a true sanctuary of peace & comfort. We will most definitely return, hopefully soon and will tell our friends & family about this amazing oasis. Love & Best Wishes.

When I first read about Garca Branca on the net, it said "South Goa's Best Bed & Breakfast". Little did I know what it meant. When I arrived I was thrilled to see a "Goan mansion" as opposed to being a hotel or a B&B;. The 4 days we spent seemed like nothing short of a homestay with a Goa family. The decor, the service, the amenities, the botanical garden, the balcony, the antique furniture every bit seemed as authentic Goan as I would have liked it to be. But above all, its Carlos who is the coolest dude in his generation I have come across. All in all, brilliant experience!!

Our first visit to India and Garca Branca was our first stop for 3 nights - What a great introduction to life and food in India. I have never experienced hosts as attentive and helpful as Carlos & Merlyn who organised day trips, onward travel and even a pack of cards - they really did make us all feel welcome in their lovely home. (this was particularly amazing as their new baby was only 4 days old). The breakfasts and evening meals were absolutely gorgeous - fried fish my particular favorite. We were a little nervous traveling with the boys but the whole experience at GB has been fantastic and a great start to our holiday.

We have had a truly wonderful time at the Garca Branca - everything about the place has contributed to the feeling that this is a real paradise in Goa. Nothing has been too much trouble for Carlos and Merlyn, from the delicious food to the spacious rooms to the kind offers of transportation. It has been a real pleasure to stay here.

It was a valuable time spent at Garca Branca B&B;as well as botanical garden. Thanks to Carlos and Merlyn for taking care of us so well. Ride to main city from here is far, but we book public transport which made us interact with local goons. Pretty special experience!! Best Wishes!!

Thank you very much for your hospitality, it was fantastic to see your beautiful property. We all felt like we had been in paradise, and we're so impressed of all the plants, animals (including guard dog:) paintings by the pool, and everything. Trust your Valentines celebration by the river will be fantastic! We are now back in Norway, and the daily life, but the holidays in Goa, with the visit at Garca Branca as one as the highlights, has filled us with energy. We will for sure recommend your place and Goa to everybody.

I was in Goa on business and could not have chosen any better bearing in mind on the last trip I had stayed at The Holiday Inn last visit and it has not got a patch on Carlos and Merlyn's place. For our first time in Goa, a beautiful port of call and very welcome after the noise of Bombay, among the egrets, kingfishers, monkeys, bee-eaters, squirrels and entire botanical garden. Thank you Merlyn & Carlos (Bokem) Mascarenhas for being such congenial and friendly people as well as the most attentive hosts. This will be a real memory for us.
